TC4 & Co., the Austin-based restaurant group behind restaurants like Tony C’s Pizza & Beer Garden; Mighty Fine Burgers, Fries, and Shakes; and Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza, has closed the Lakeway outpost of one of its restaurants, The League Kitchen & Tavern. The League, which also has three other locations, closed February 25.
“Thank you for your unwavering support over the past 15 years. It has been an incredible honor to serve this community and to be part of so many celebrations, traditions, and memories made within these walls,” says an announcement shared with What Now by a representative of TC4 & Co. on Friday.
“What began as a neighborhood restaurant on this little corner in Lakeway became something much bigger than we ever imagined,” the announcement continues. “This restaurant didn’t just spark a new brand; it marked the founding of TC4 & Co. From this building grew a company that now includes five brands, more than 500 teammates, and over 20 locations across the Austin area, with expansion into Houston this year. All of that magic traces back to this very spot.”
But despite that melancholy news, TC4 & Co. added, at the very end of the announcement, that, “While this chapter is coming to a close, our story in this community is far from over. We look forward to welcoming you at our other TC4 & Co. locations, and we’re excited to return to Lakeway soon with a new location of our Italian-American brand, Cousin Louie’s.”
What Now reached out to the representative for more information about the Cousin Louie’s opening, but for now this is all the information that is available, so we’ll have to wait and see!
Located in Dripping Springs, Cousin Louie’s is a “full service Italian-American restaurant run by TC4 & Co. Hospitality and third generation chef Louis Ciola III featuring authentic Ciola family recipes and handmade pasta.”
