Community loved and breakfast-obsessed since 2012,” breakfast chain Urban Egg has grown to include locations in Colorado, Kansas, and Texas. What Now Dallas reported back in August 2025 on plans for what would be the brand’s second Texas location, opening in Plano after one location had already launched in Fort Worth.

Now, a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows a new Urban Egg in the works in Austin, at 7600 Burnet Road, Suite 250.

The filing is for a $400,000 renovation to a 4,430-square-foot space, with work expected to run from June 8 to December 8.

There, Austinites would be able to ebjoy a menu featuring a range of breakfast and lunch favorites. Currently featured seasonal items include the Smoked Salmon Benedict (dill infused cream cheese, cured Wild Pacific salmon, hollandaise, toasted capers, pickled onions, fresh dill, English muffin) and the Lavender French 75 cocktail (New Amsterdam Gin, lemon juice, lavender simple syrup, prosecco, orange bitters, lemon twist).

“We’re all about the power of positivity and the fresh start each new day brings,” says the Urban Egg website. “Every ‘good morning’ isn’t just a welcoming – it’s the start of something bigger. Set the tone for the kind of day you want. to have. Our goal is to brighten your day!”

The Burnet Road location is situated by the Northcross Center shopping mall. Opening there, Urban Egg would join restaurants like PhoNatic, First Watch, Austin’s Very Own Saltt, and Sonic Drive-In.
