After years of planning, an Asian restaurant in Cambridge‘s Riverside neighborhood will finally open this fall.

212 Kitchen recently unveiled signage at its 212 Western Ave space, according to a post within the Friends of Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Facebook group.

Co-owner Su Du, who will run the restaurant alongside Yifei Du, briefly confirmed the news with What Now Boston, and a representative for the eatery said they’re targeting a November 2025 grand opening. Both declined to share further details at this time.

While specifics are scarce for now, plans submitted in March 2021 show that 212 Kitchen will serve Asian cuisine—including rice bowls—with dine-in, takeout, and delivery options.

According to those filings, the 1,163-square-foot ground floor will feature a bar area and seating for 47 guests, while the 1,395-square-foot basement will be used for storage and food prep. The space was previously home to Anytime Pizza.

The team said they’ll be ready to share more details in about a month, so keep an eye out for updates as 212 Kitchen prepares to debut in Cambridge.
