After shutting its doors, The Dial, once located within Sonder 907 Main, has left patrons curious about the future of the now-vacant space. However, recent developments have shed light on what lies ahead. According to BostonChefs.com, Althea, the latest culinary venture by Shauna Reyburn and Greg Reeves, will take The Dial’s place at 2 Columbia St in Cambridge’s Central Square. The husband-and-wife duo also owns nearby Italian eatery Vialé, just a block away from the upcoming restaurant.

Althea will offer creative American dishes crafted from carefully sourced ingredients, including fresh seafood and locally grown vegetables, all expertly seared at the outdoor grill. With abundant al fresco dining space, patrons can enjoy live music and indulge in raw bar delights at the bar or tables. Expect a warm, playful ambiance, with exposed brick and whimsical design touches both indoors and out.

Reyburn and Reeves’ commitment extends beyond the culinary realm; their involvement with local organizations like On the Rise and The Dance Complex underscores their dedication to community care. Reyburn summarizes their mission, envisioning Althea as a space to nourish “the soul with food, wine, and humans,” while bringing their seasoned hospitality expertise to Central Square.

“We know what the community wants and needs–and deserves,” Reyburn said. “Althea lets us do more of that with a new twist–but still growing from strong local roots.” As anticipation builds, locals can look forward to the grand opening of Althea, slated to take place in April 2024.
