About The Federal

Located at 74 Tower Rd, Waltham, MA 02451, The Federal was a 7,300-square-foot, 244-seat seafood and chophouse restaurant. Owned by managing partner Richard Brackett and co-owner David Alphonse, the restaurant began its journey in 2019.
The menu featured made-from-scratch dishes paired with classic cocktails and wines. Some of the popular items on the menu included prime New York strip, duck, oysters Rockefeller, filet mignon, haddock, and steak tartare.
Its sister property, Stazione di Federal, will continue its operations, and all the current outstanding gift cards will be honored at the location. With the closure of The Federal, the Waltham community marks a significant loss in its vibrant dining scene.
