A new Israeli-inspired bakery concept dubbed Asaro Bakery and Cafe is landing in Cambridge at 1629 Cambridge Street.
Asaro Bakery and Cafe is owned and run by a family that has a storied history of running bakeries in Israel and they are excited to take over the former Darwin’s location. In a quote with Cambridge Day, co-owner Timna Barsheshet says, “Our specialty will be finding a middle ground between Israeli and American culture. Our goal is to offer high-quality and delicious baked goods with Israeli authenticity, but with creativity inspired from all around the world.”
Guests can expect a stacked menu of incredible delights, including a selection of sweet and savory bakas, unique takes on breakfast and lunch classics, and, of course, challah.
The former Darwin’s location is surefire to be a popular destination, especially considering the footprint the iconic coffee chain has stamped all across the Cambridge area throughout the height of its tenure.
What Now Boston has connected with Barsheshet regarding an opening timeline. This article will be updated as details continue to emerge.
