bartaco, an upscale coastal street food eatery, is set to open its doors at the Derby Street Shops in Hingham, marking the establishment’s third Massachusetts venture. Additionally, bartaco is gearing up for an imminent debut in Boston’s Fenway area. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, the Hingham branch will occupy the former site of Nomai at 94 Derby St #217.

With thirty locations nationwide and more on the horizon, bartaco offers a rich tapestry of flavors from California, Mexico, and South America. From roasted duck to falafel, the restaurant’s taco selection is diverse, complemented by “not tacos” such as street corn and chicken tortilla soup, as well as a variety of rice bowls, options for kids, and convenient takeout choices. The beverage menu includes beer, cocktails, wine, and margaritas.

The forthcoming bartaco location in Hingham will operate as a corporate-run restaurant, with CEO and co-founder Scott Lawton taking the lead. While Lawton confirmed the development, the opening date remains unconfirmed. Keep an eye out for updates as details are finalized.
