Located at 142 Mystic Ave in Medford, the Great American Beer Hall (GABH) is set to become a go-to entertainment hub in Massachusetts. With a team of six partners overseeing its operations, including brothers Mark and Brian Zarthar, the GABH is expected to open its doors mid to late 2024.

Mystic Ave, acting as a “gateway to Boston,” has long been envisioned as a vibrant center for commerce and entertainment. Leveraging their deep-rooted ties within the community, the Zarthar brothers envision the GABH as a driving force that will help foster sustainable growth in the area.

The 17,000-square-foot “taproom-style” beer hall will offer a wide selection of New England craft beers, complemented by a diverse menu featuring artisan pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and more. They’ll also partner with local food trucks to provide innovative culinary experiences.

Drawing from the city’s industrial legacy and strong work ethic, the GABH seamlessly marries tradition with contemporary appeal through its “modern-industrial” design. This includes high ceilings, sleek metal finishes, and oversized LED screens. The establishment further enriches the ambiance with a 4,800-square-foot outdoor beer garden and mezzanine levels, cultivating an engaging atmosphere for patrons.

As Mark Zarthar aptly puts it, “The Great American Beer Hall will serve as a local gathering spot that brings together the community and catalyzes a long-awaited reinvigoration of Mystic Ave. Patrons will come for the GABH’s New England craft selection, stay for its pizza and other in-house food offerings, and return for the social experience.”

Get ready to enjoy fantastic beer and even better company at the Great American Beer Hall.

  • Hello, just wondering what the hiring process is for employment?
I am a Medford resident and have been a home brewer for awhile. Would be interested in working in the brew process. Also, have cooking experience. I work at a local Golf course in season. My days are free. I work at a university doing security work nights. Looks like it would be an interesting place to work. I am interested.
    Thank You
    Jim
