After a decade in business, Osteria Nino closed its Burlington location in January 2026. The restaurant announced the closure on its official website. The team did not provide a specific reason for the closure, noting only that the space is slated for new ownership.
Osteria Nino Shuts Down After 10 Years
Osteria Nino, located in the Third Ave shopping plaza, was known locally for its Italian-inspired cuisine. The restaurant also featured a large open patio, which became a popular spot for outdoor dining.
The menu included a wide range of pastas, appetizers, and entrées, but the restaurant was especially known for its signature wood-fired pizzas, which became a customer favorite over the years. Some of the recommended items on the menu are Cacio E Pepe, Short Ribs, Wild Mushroom Pizza, Lobster Ravioli, and Caprese Salad.

The announcement shared by Osteria Nino’s team stated, “Nino’s is now closed as we make way for new ownership and a revitalized concept that will continue to serve the community well.”
Sharing a note of appreciation and gratitude, the team said, “It has been our pleasure to serve this community for the past 10 years. We are deeply grateful for every team member, neighbor, guest, and vendor who helped build and sustain Nino’s.”
Legacy of Osteria Nino
Founded in May 2015, Osteria Nino became a local favorite spot with its delicious Italian cuisine and Roman-style kitchen. Nino features traditional Italian dishes with a hint of modernity from New England. All the items at the restaurant are prepared from scratch with locally sourced ingredients.
The closure of Osteria Nino has deeply saddened the community; it marks the end of a beloved gathering place for families and friends.
