Blackbird Doughnuts will soon open an eighth location in Cambridge at 1350 Massachusetts Ave, according to a recent permit filing.
“We have plans for the store opening to be in fall or early winter,” Jorge from Blackbird Doughnut’s PR team told What Now Boston, “We will provide a press release as the opening becomes imminent, likely in the fall.”
At Blackbird, the process begins each morning with their dedicated team of bakers working their magic from as early as 3 am. Their goal is to ensure that you receive the freshest and most mouthwatering doughnuts every single day. From the dough to the glazes and fillings, everything is made from scratch with love and care.
While they do purchase a few decorations like Oreos, sprinkles, and gingerbread men, they believe in keeping it simple and focused on the quality of their products. While they may not have official kosher certification or be certified as nut-free, they take allergies very seriously. Rest assured, Blackbird has a strict policy against using any traif (non-kosher) ingredients and they do not have any nuts on the premises, except for coconut and sesame.
Part of what makes their bakery truly special is the ever-changing selection of flavors. Each month, Blackbird introduces ten new flavors, ensuring that there’s always something exciting for their customers to try. To add a touch of celebration, they also offer a unique doughnut cake and special creations that perfectly capture the essence of the season. Cake-style doughnuts are also available to be shipped worldwide, according to the company website.
