A popular brewery and pub in Boston is opening to a new location in the city.
According to Boston Magazine, Democracy Brewing will soon open a second site at 154 Maverick St in East Boston’s Maverick Square. Dubbed Democracy Brewing Eastie, the new location will feature Democracy’s diverse selection of craft brews, house-made wines, and a Latin American-inspired menu.
Founded by James Razsa and Jason Taggart on Independence Day in 2018, the original Democracy Brewing blends the atmosphere of a neighborhood pub with the charm of an old-world beer hall.
The East Boston space will offer seating for 56 patrons, a cozy Irish-style room, and a spacious outdoor seating area for 44.
Democracy Brewing Eastie is expected to open in early 2025.
