A growing chain of upscale steak and seafood restaurants is planning a new location in the southwest suburbs of Boston.

Burtons Grill & Bar is expanding to Mansfield, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The restaurant will take over the former TGI Fridays space in Mansfield Crossing at 280 School St. The mall’s website confirms this news, listing the new Burtons as “coming soon” to Suite A-100.

Founded in 2005 in Hingham, Burtons now operates seven locations in Massachusetts, as well as more restaurants across Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and soon, Pennsylvania.

The chain is known for its elevated American fare—including steaks, seafood, sandwiches, soups, salads, and burgers—and is open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Burtons Grill & Bar President and CEO John Haggai could not be reached for comment, so stay tuned for opening day updates.
