An upscale Canadian restaurant chain is making its United States debut—right in the heart of Boston.
Cactus Club Cafe will open later this year in a sprawling 9,500-square-foot space at 500 Boylston St in Back Bay, according to a press release. The Boston outpost will be the brand’s 34th location, adding to its portfolio across Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.
With over 35 years of hospitality history north of the border, Cactus Club promises “elevated everyday dining,” aiming to make each meal feel like a special occasion—even when it’s not. The chef-driven menu—crafted by Executive Chef Greg McCallum and the company’s in-house Test Kitchen team—spans sushi, salads, burgers, bowls, steaks, desserts, and more.
The Boston restaurant is being brought to life by award-winning design firm Jeffrey Beers International, which is creating an open, welcoming space designed to seat more than 325 guests. Diners can choose from a lounge, main dining area, enclosed all-season patio, or seasonal outdoor patio. Boston-based artist Giovanni DeCunto will lend a creative touch, contributing six commissioned works—including a dramatic ceiling mural.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Cactus Club Cafe to Boston,” said Andrew Latchford, President of Cactus Club Cafe. “Back Bay is a vibrant neighborhood that aligns perfectly with our vision for modern dining—timeless, social, and stylish. This marks an important milestone for our expansion into the U.S., and we can’t wait to welcome Bostonians to experience what makes Cactus so special.”
