A Hudson brewery is expanding to Ashland.

Clover Road Brewing Company will soon bring its craft brews and bites to 151 Main St, taking over the former Ashland Fire Headquarters space.

Founded in 2022 by Jon Muldoon, Allan Waite, and James Wong, Clover Road first connected with the Ashland community in 2023 when it began serving beers at The Corner Spot, a pop-up venue that helps businesses test-drive their appeal.

When the downtown fire station became available, the Clover team jumped on the opportunity to open a second permanent location, according to a recent MetroWest Daily News report.

The new Ashland taproom will offer a similar selection of IPAs, pilsners, ciders, and special releases as the Hudson location, with beer brewed at both sites.

It will also feature Clover Road’s own wines and a menu of pretzels, hummus plates, and food truck options. Guests are welcome to bring their own food, too.

With seating for 99 patrons, the new space includes three bay doors that will open in warmer weather. Like Hudson, the Ashland location will host fun events such as comedy shows, candle-making workshops, trivia nights, book clubs, and holiday card-making sessions.

Permitting, planning, and remodeling of the 1928 building began in early 2024. While the Clover team did not respond to requests for comment from What Now Boston, MetroWest Daily News reports that they expect Clover Road Brewing Company to open in the coming weeks.
