A new “place to stay and play” is headed to Everett.

Spouses Tess Kohanski and Emily Gusse, the duo behind Park-9 Dog Bar, are gearing up to launch an experiential bar at 73 Norman St, #19A. Re:Bar will take over the former Revolution Axe Throwing space, promising games, drinks, and plenty of fun.

Unlike their pup-friendly hangout, Re:Bar is all about human playtime. According to a press release, the entertainment-driven venue will feature “hi-tech” axe throwing, darts, and Nerf battles, alongside a menu of bar bites, craft beer, and modernized versions of classic cocktails.

Guests can also look forward to leagues, tournaments, themed nights, and private function spaces for everything from birthdays to corporate outings.

While an official opening date hasn’t been announced, Re:Bar is currently targeting a debut in early November 2025. Interested in joining the team as venue manager? Email [email protected], and keep the fun rolling by following @playrebar on Instagram.

Park-9 Dog Bar, New England’s first and only dog park and bar that also doubles as a doggie daycare, opened in Everett in April 2023. It features an indoor dog park, two patios, a full bar, and pies from Lala’s Neapolitan-ish Pizza. The concept also appears seasonally in the Fenway as a pop-up beer garden.
