A fast-casual hot chicken chain is looking to expand into Boston’s Fenway neighborhood.

According to a licensing board hearing page, Dave’s Hot Chicken plans to open at The Bon by Morro at 1260 Boylston St. The apartment complex will also welcome a new Halal Guys eatery, spearheaded by the same franchisees.

Founded in 2017 by three childhood friends, Dave’s Hot Chicken has evolved from a modest parking lot setup into an international franchise. Known for its Nashville-style hot chicken sliders and tenders, the chain boasts roughly 200 restaurants worldwide, including eight in Greater Boston.

In 2021, Jamal Bourote of BGR Hospitality signed a multi-franchise agreement with Halal Guys franchisee Imran Asghar; the duo has recently opened sites in Boston’s Theatre District and Medford.

Once open, the new Dave’s Hot Chicken will offer both dine-in and takeout services, operating from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. While Asghar confirmed this development with What Now Boston, he did not provide an opening date for the upcoming restaurant.
