Earls Kitchen + Bar is headed for Boston’s Seaport District.
The Canadian chain is set to open a new 9,800-square-foot location at 157 Seaport Blvd in early 2027, according to a press release. The forthcoming restaurant will be part of the redeveloped Commonwealth Pier, an urban waterfront campus that blends work and play.
“The Seaport District is such an electric waterfront neighborhood and destination, one that matches the energy of the Earls brand,” said Earls President Mark Hladik. “With our Seaport West location, we will create an unrivaled space and experience reflective of the community and city we love.”
Founded in 1982 by father-son duo Leroy “Bus” Fuller and Stan Fuller, Earls has grown to 69 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada. The Seaport outpost will mark the brand’s third Boston-area location, joining existing restaurants in Somerville’s Assembly Row (opened in 2014) and Back Bay’s Prudential Center (opened in 2017).
Earls is known for its globally influenced modern American fare, including crowd favorites like the Peppercorn Steak, Vegan Tofu Sesame Citrus Noodle Bowl, and Steak + Sushi—all complemented by a menu of expertly crafted cocktails.
The Seaport spot will channel the brand’s signature “sophisticated yet upscale-casual dining experience,” featuring a bar-centric layout, green paneled walls, mosaic tile floors, jewel-toned fabrics, and locally commissioned artwork. Guests can also enjoy a seasonal outdoor terrace and an enclosed three-season patio.
Kristan McLaughlin, Director of Asset Management at Pembroke, said the new addition will play a key role in the waterfront’s revitalization. “We are delighted that Earls will be a new dining destination for our Commonwealth Pier campus and believe it will become a hub for people who work in Seaport East and West,” she noted. “Earls will add vibrancy to Commonwealth Pier and advance our vision to create a place for people to elevate the everyday, whether they’re wrapping up the workday, meeting friends or exploring the Seaport.”
