Formula 1 — the most popularly viewed racing tournament — is all set to come into the US market in 2024 with their first ever arcade in Boston.
The arcade will be located in Boston’s seaport district, at 87 Pier 4 Blvd. and will be equipped with 69 racing simulators that are specially curated for the venue, according to a press release.
“Formula 1 is enjoying significant growth globally, and we are constantly innovating to ensure that we are bringing the highest quality of sport and entertainment to new and diverse audiences,” said Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula 1.
“The success of the London venue so far has been incredible, and we are excited to see the F1 Arcade project continue to grow as it hits the US, starting in Boston,” Domenicali added.
The F1 Arcade in Boston will set the stage for Formula 1 into the US market. While the organization currently has operations across the United Kingdom, the fanbase in US is proliferating.
The arcade will span over 16,000 square footage with food and drinks served on the venue to match the Grand Pix experience. Different modes will be available for different age groups to make the F1 experience inclusive and exciting.
The popular fan base in the US constitutes for the majority of F1’s social media followers surpassing United Kingdom and Brazil.
While the US President of Formula 1, Jon Gardner, is yet to make a statement on Formula 1 arcade’s launch in the Boston market, fans across the US and Boston are eager to experience the game day ambience.
