A beloved Italian eatery known for its steak tips has finally found a new home.

After closing its Wakefield and Malden locations earlier this year, Floramo’s Restaurant spent much of 2024 searching for the perfect spot to relaunch. Yesterday, the Floramo family announced that their search is officially over.

In a social media update, the Floramos revealed plans to merge with Bossmama Taproom & Kitchen, a “pour your own beer” concept located at 963 Main St in Wakefield.

“We know you’ve been waiting patiently to find out where we’re going to serve our famous steak tips, ribs, and Italian specialties,” said Kerri Floramo. “And we’ve finally found our new home.”

Bossmama’s taproom and beer wall will remain open, but the establishment will see some changes in the coming weeks, including an expanded bar and extended service to integrate the two operations.

Founded in Chelsea in 1984 by Tommy and Pat Floramo, the restaurant is now led by their son, John. Alongside its famous steak tips, the menu features seafood, subs, burgers, barbecue, wraps, and pasta dishes.

The Floramos could not be reached for comment, so stay tuned for updates as this exciting collaboration unfolds.
