A Florida-based craft beer bar franchise may soon be tapping into the western suburbs of Boston.

The Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar is eyeing its first Massachusetts location at 770 Water St in Framingham‘s Nobscot Village, according to a recent Facebook post from Framingham UnFiltered. Franchisee Aniruddh Patel and his “team of seasoned entrepreneurs” with hospitality experience in Millis, Medway, and North Andover are leading the charge.

In a brief chat with What Now Boston, Patel noted that plans are still in the early stages, and he expects to share more concrete details in about a month. Preliminary documents show that the indoor space would span roughly 3,375 square feet with seating for 92 guests, plus a 675-square-foot outdoor patio that could fit another 44.

Founded by three restaurant veterans, The Brass Tap opened its first location in Wesley Chapel, Florida in 2008. The company has since grown to over 50 outposts across more than a dozen states.

Known for its extensive selection of craft beers, The Brass Tap offers 60+ brews from around the globe in a setting that feels “both relaxed and upscale,” according to its website.

Beyond the beers, patrons can look forward to craft cocktails, a curated wine list, and a shareable food menu featuring everything from pretzel sticks and chicken wings to sliders and pizzas.

Proposed hours for the Framingham spot are Sunday to Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Thursday until 11:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday until midnight. The team has also secured approval for live entertainment—like acoustic acts, karaoke, and DJs—one night a week from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.

A licensing hearing is scheduled for July 7, 2025. In the meantime, eager locals can follow The Brass Tap Framingham on Facebook and Instagram.
