An artisanal Boston bakery is expanding once again.

Flour Bakery + Cafe will soon open its eleventh location in the former J.P. Licks space at 1618 Tremont St in Boston’s One Brigham Circle shopping mall, according to a recent Instagram update from co-owner Joanne Chang.

“We are extraordinarily grateful for our dedicated, amazing team for getting us to the point of opening Flour ELEVEN! Thank you Team Flour – WE LOVE YOU ❤️!” she wrote. “To our incredible guests, we can’t wait to see you there!!!! Thank you for supporting us for the last 25 years 🙏🙏🙏.”

A James Beard Award-winning pastry chef, Chang opened the first Flour location in the South End in 2000, and the brand has since grown to 10 locations throughout Boston and Cambridge.

The bakery is beloved for its small-batch breakfast pastries, cookies, pies, cakes, salads, and sandwiches, all of which are prepared fresh daily, along with vegan and gluten-free options and coffee in collaboration with Fazenda Coffee.

Earlier this year, Flour debuted soft serve sundaes at the Boston Common Concession Pavilion, inspired by fan-favorite desserts such as the Sticky Bun and the Chunky Lola Cookie.

The upcoming One Bringham Circle location will bring back all the Flour classics—sticky buns, egg sandwiches, BLTs, banana bread, homemade Oreos, and carrot cake—plus the popular soft serve.

Flour Bakery + Cafe’s eleventh location is slated to open in January 2026.
