A French brasserie that opened in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood last fall will soon close its doors, making way for a new Italian eatery by the same owner.

According to an Instagram update from the restaurant, DW French at 1391 Boylston St will be replaced by the fourth location of MIDA sometime this October. DW French will have its final day of service this Sunday, August 18th.

“Thank you for your support and warm welcome to the neighborhood,” reads the post. “We can’t wait to return soon, with a new iteration of the space, bringing our beloved Italian dishes from MIDA to you all.”

Both establishments are the creations of award-winning local chef Douglass Williams, who has garnered numerous accolades for his restaurants over the past several years.

While DW French is celebrated for its classic French cuisine, MIDA is renowned for its contemporary Italian fare. Once open, the new MIDA location will join existing outlets in the South End, East Boston, and Newtonville.
