A new restaurant from a local hospitality group is set to debut soon in Boston’s Seaport District.

NoToro Hospitality Group is gearing up to launch Mai, a French-inspired Japanese restaurant and sake bar, at 31 Northern Ave.

The eatery’s Instagram page offers a preview of its creative, elevated menu. Highlights include unagi with truffle risotto, wagyu paired with potatoes, miso soup bouillabaisse, sweet shrimp ceviche with arugula salad, and miso cod served with a pumpkin beet purée.

Renderings of the interior reveal a moody, upscale ambiance, blending earthy and modern elements for a sophisticated yet inviting feel.

NoToro Hospitality Group is behind a few local favorites: Matsunori Handroll Bar, Lanner Noodles, and the soon-to-open NoriNori Test Kitchen in Brighton.

The group has not yet responded to inquiries from What Now Boston, so stay tuned for updates as this exciting new eatery takes shape in Seaport.
