Woburn is about to get a fresh jolt of caffeine.

Kaapi & Co., the area’s first Indian café, is coming soon to 204 W Cummings Park, Suite 1, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. “🌟 A new coffee experience is coming to town!” the team teased on Instagram. “Enjoy the rich flavours of India in every sip. Stay tuned! ☕🇮🇳”

Recent permit filings reveal that the concept comes from local restaurateur Koushik “Babu” Koganti, the CEO and founder of Flying Lion Hospitality Group. His growing restaurant empire includes Indian and Mediterranean concepts like Don’t Tell Aunty, Boston Halal, Madras Dosa Co., and the newly opened Bombay Baking Co.

The menu at Kaapi & Co will center around the namesake kaapi: a “bold, aromatic” South Indian filter coffee brewed using a traditional metal filter and finished with frothy milk. While a full menu and opening date have yet to be revealed, the café promises to spotlight the classic flavors found in traditional South Indian cafés.
