A couple of months ago, What Now Boston reported that Levain Bakery signage had been spotted in Boston’s Seaport District. At the time, specifics about the site were scarce. However, more details have since emerged.
The bakery’s website reveals that the new Levain will be located at 107 Seaport Blvd, but an opening date has not yet been announced.
Currently, Levain operates 15 locations across Massachusetts, New York, Washington, Maryland, Illinois, California, and Philadelphia, with three additional sites in development. Boston’s other location is situated in Back Bay on Newbury St.
Levain is renowned for its iconic 6-ounce “mother of all” cookie, a creation invented by founders and New York City bakers Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald. In addition to its signature cookies, the bakery offers a range of crumbly desserts and freshly baked bread.
Levain CEO John Maguire has not yet responded to inquiries from What Now Boston, so keep an eye out for opening day details.
