Life Alive Organic Cafe is Aiming to Lay Roots in Union Square

The plant-based eatery is looking to add another Somerville location to its family of cafes.

Popular organic eatery Life Alive is looking to further establish its roots in Union Square. The plant-based cafe currently has a location open in Somerville, as well as storefronts in Cambridge, Back Bay, Brookline, South End, Lowell and Salem.

Life Alive’s mission is to renew energy and connection to life by soulfully serving the most fantastic organic dishes you could ever imagine. The cafe’s food, space and service are grown and prepared with the health and vitality for the body, greater community and the Earth front of mind.

Founder Heidi Feinstein sold the company in 2016 to Act III Holdings, LLC who also manages CAVA, Tatte and Level99.

The Union Square Life Alive is set to arrive as part of the new Prospect Union Square development, located at 50 Prospect Street. The arrival of the cafe is currently under review by the 32 Prospect St. Neighborhood Meeting.

A representative from Life Alive has confirmed in a comment to What Now Boston that the new location is currently in the contracting and permitting stages. This article will continue to be updated as details continue emerge.
