16C Restaurant, one of the local favorite spots in Quincy, recently shared a heartfelt message and announced its closure on social media. The family-run restaurant posted a message on Instagram thanking everyone for their support over the years. The restaurant plans to close at the end of December.

Quincy Favorite 16C to Shut Down at Year’s End

Located at 16 Cottage Avenue in Quincy, Sixteen C is a contemporary American restaurant. Known for its made-from-scratch approach and open kitchen offering signature-style sheet pan pizzas and classic ‘Quiet Man’ steak tips perfectly paired with rotating seasonal items.

The restaurant is owned and operated by a Quincy local, Kerri Lynch, who brings nearly 15 years of industry experience.

Through a social media post, Kerri Lynch shared, “It feels surreal to even type this, but the time has come to say goodbye to my happy place.”

The restaurant posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, looking back on its journey since 2016. In the post, Lynch thanked the community for the love, support, and memories shared over the years and expressed how much the experience has meant to them.

“There really aren’t words to describe how lucky I’ve been with my staff. Some of you started with me back when you still had high school working papers, and you’re still here all these years later. To my regulars—I could go on and on about what each of you means to me. You’ve become like family. I’m honored that you chose this little joint for your celebrations, your holiday meals, and your everyday moments. Thank you for sharing your stories, your milestones, your laughter, and even your hard days with us. You’ve filled these walls with life and helped make this place feel like home,” shared the restaurant.

With a special mention to the mayor, the restaurant wrote, “A special thank-you to Mayor Koch for his continued support and for fostering a community where small businesses like mine could thrive.”

Lynch assured that this does not mean a final goodbye: “You’ll still see me around Cottage Ave at Kilroy’s! Come say hi, grab a cocktail, a French toast cupcake, or maybe even a coffee (stay tuned on that one!). Before we officially say farewell at the end of December, come in for one last meal, one more laugh, and one more broccoli Caesar! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything!”
