It looks like Lynn is about to get a new go-to spot for food, drinks, and live sports.
Malibu’s Sports Bar & Grill is gearing up to open at 159 Central Ave, according to the restaurant’s social media. Licensing documents filed earlier this year reveal that Marlborough resident Julio Galvez-Rivera is behind the new venue.
“Get ready for Malibu’s Sports Bar & Grill Tex-Mex! 
” reads a Facebook post from the eatery. “A place where the flavors are bold, the drinks are cold, and the game is always on! 
“
The menu will feature Tex-Mex favorites like tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and burritos at “reasonable prices,” alongside cold beer and a variety of cocktails. Fans can catch live sports throughout the day, with nonstop UFC fights playing on four big screens.
Although an exact opening date hasn’t been announced and Julio could not be reached for comment, Malibu’s social media hints at an imminent debut. The team is currently hiring bartenders and waitstaff; interested applicants can DM the restaurant on Facebook for more details.
