A natural winery in Acton is looking to expand into the Boston area.

Marzae Wine founders Katie Luczai and Eliot Martin are searching for a second space to showcase their sustainable, small-batch wines, according to a post shared in the Friends of Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Facebook group.

“Hey foodie friends – we have been looking for a taproom space to bring our natural winery, Marzae Wine, to the Boston area,” wrote Luczai. “We are looking for ideally a former bar or brewery. We have had so many spaces fall through because they ‘are really looking for an Irish pub’ or ‘want a chain retailer instead.’ If you have any leads on anything in Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Somerville then please reach out!”

The husband-and-wife duo started their winemaking journey in 2020 with a mission to “craft exceptional, locally sourced natural wines that rival the best of Europe,” according to their website. In August 2023, they opened Marzae Winery—a hidden gem tucked between warehouses in an Acton industrial park.

With a focus on sustainability and local sourcing, Marzae’s winemaking process reflects a deep respect for the environment. From carefully chosen fruit to locally harvested honey, each bottle tells a story that connects their wines to “the land and community.”

Keep an eye out for updates as Luczai and Martin continue their search in the Boston area. In the meantime, follow Marzae on Instagram, stop by their Acton winery, or order a bottle online.
