Exciting culinary changes are on the horizon for Boston’s South End.
Local restaurateur Matt Sullivan, owner of Sullivan’s Public House in Charlestown and The Tap Room in Nantucket, is set to open The Shawmut Inn at 477 Shawmut Ave, taking over the former site of Orinoco. The new eatery will feature a menu of fresh American fare.
According to information gleaned from various sources and a city website’s voting agenda, Orinoco is in the process of transferring its license to The Shawmut Inn. However, Orinoco will continue to operate in Brookline Village and Cambridge’s Harvard Square.
While a specific opening date has not yet been confirmed, anticipation is building for this exciting new addition to Boston’s vibrant South End. Stay tuned for more details as The Shawmut Inn prepares to make its debut.
