A new Irish pub and restaurant is coming to Boston’s largest neighborhood, and it’s backed by a hospitality group responsible for several local hotspots.

McGonagle’s Pub is gearing up to launch at 367 Neponset Ave in Dorchester, taking over the former Dorset Hall space. Oran McGonagle of East Coast Tavern Group (Roxanne’s, Carrie Nation, Scholars) is spearheading this venture.

In a recent post within the Dining in Dorchester Facebook group, McGonagle shared his excitement: “Full circle for me as Dorchester is where I got my first bar job in America after moving from Ireland. You can expect, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, GAA, Premier League, Trivia, Sunday Roasts, and lots of great local musical talent as well as acts from Ireland.”

Renovations are already underway, with hopes to open the neighborhood pub this fall. For the latest updates and announcements, follow McGonagle’s Pub on Instagram.
