A new Italian restaurant is headed to Dedham, reports Boston Restaurant Talk.
Zocca Cucina Italiana is gearing up to serve “pasta, pizza, and pours” in the former Horse Thieves Tavern space at 585 High St in Dedham Square, according to the eatery’s website. The concept comes from chef Jeffrey Cincotta, who is also behind Molinari’s Pizzeria in Dorchester and Ravello Italian Kitchen in Watertown.
Though Cincotta declined to comment on the details, a Facebook announcement from Molinari’s provides some insight. “Zocca offers a fresh yet familiar take on Italian seasonal cuisine inspired by the simple way of life in Zocca, a charming town in Northern Italy,” reads the post. “Here, timeless tradition meets vibrant energy, with flavors that linger long after the last bite.”
The menu at Zocca will feature house-made pastas and wood oven-fired pizzas, plus a range of craft cocktails and a curated selection of wines.
The space itself will blend “rustic charm with a vibrant, modern spirit, bringing together timeless recipes, old-world hospitality, and a dining experience that feels both elevated and approachable.”
Although an exact opening date has not yet been announced, Zocca Cucina Italiana is scheduled to debut sometime this summer. The restaurant’s website says that it will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
