A new pub from a familiar face is coming to Medford.

Barry Rafferty, owner of The Ford Tavern on Locust St, will soon open Mrs. Murphy’s Pub at 25 Salem St, according to a recent Facebook update from Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn.

“I got an early look at the space and can already envision how cozy and inviting it will be for our community,” the mayor shared in her post.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Rafferty opened The Ford Tavern in 2022. The menu offers a unique blend of American and Irish favorites—from pizzas and burgers to steak tips and shepherd’s pie—alongside bold cocktails and a wide selection of beers.

Rafferty told What Now Boston that the menu at Mrs. Murphy’s will feature a mix of classic and modern takes on traditional Irish pub fare, as well as a variety of draft beers, ciders, cocktails, and more. The pub will also feature a cozy patio for guests to enjoy.

Mrs. Murphy’s Pub is expected to debut in early January 2025.

“We can’t wait to bring Mrs. Murphy’s to the people of Medford!” said Rafferty.
