According to a recent posting by the Boston Licensing Board, a restaurant dubbed Nite Lite is setting its sights on opening in Beacon Hill at 89 Charles Street.

The new eatery has recently applied to transfer an existing common victualler license (formerly The Crab Shack) through the city with the new manager listed as Gennaro Riccio. Riccio has been involved in the launch of a number of popular eateries including Cafe Amaro, Caffe Vittoria, and Florentine.

Other neighboring spots to the pending address include Toscano, The Paramount, Cheers, and more.

Details surrounding the type of fare Nite Lite Cafe will be dishing up have yet to emerge. Our best guess is that it will fall in line with its siblings and offer up classic Italian-inspired eats. What Now Boston has connected with Riccio and will update this article as soon as he’s confirmed with official comment.
