Chef Kegan Stritchko unveiled his highly anticipated omakase experience at XOXO Sushi Bar in Chestnut Hill. The concept of omakase – which directly translates to “I leave the details up to you” – has recently taken Boston’s culinary scene by storm ranging from abbreviated to lavish interpretations. Chef Stritchko’s omakase feature has elements of opulence and refinement through his use of premier imported fish from Japan, XOXO’s in-house dry-ager – the first of its kind in Boston, a technique in which Stritchko holds great expertise – and its extreme limited availability.

The 16-course showcase – available beginning July 30 –is a dining experience where each evening’s menu is an expression of Chef Stritchko’s creativity. Featuring the freshest and most luxurious seafood options sourced internationally and domestically, Chef Stritchko meticulously crafts each course. From the shores of Japan to the waters of Maine, Duxbury, and Gloucester, his team skillfully presents each course to six guests seated at the omakase counter providing an up-close and personal view of the culinary artistry. The experience is limited to only one seating on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with two options – the 16-course culinary adventure with or without a menu of eight wine, sake and whisky pairings – with a finale of dessert.

XOXO Sushi Bar is located at 1154 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.

The omakase experience begins on July 30, and is available Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 6pm. The omakase experience costs $195 per guest. The omakase experience with drink pairings costs $390 per guest.
