OTTO Pizza is set to expand to a new location in the South Weymouth area, located at 39 Trotter Road, according to a recent post from Boston Restaurant Talk.
A representative from OTTO Pizza did not immediately return What Now Boston’s request for comment.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, since its establishment in 2009 with its first slice shop on Congress Street in Downtown Portland, OTTO has been on a mission to redefine the pizza experience. By focusing on high-quality ingredients, often locally sourced, and offering creative and comforting toppings, OTTO has successfully challenged traditional pizza norms. With unique combinations like mashed potatoes, tortellini, and cranberries as toppings, they have proven that innovation and flavor can go hand in hand.
The story of OTTO begins with two chefs, Anthony Allen and Mike Keon, who come from vastly different culinary backgrounds but share a common vision. Anthony, a native of Nantucket, started his first pizza shop on the island at the young age of 17, expanding to Martha’s Vineyard a few years later. Meanwhile, Mike spent over 12 years working in the galleys of fishing boats off the coast of Alaska, according to the company website.
