Perillas Korean Kitchen, the Brighton/Allston-based Korean eatery, is expanding to Cambridge‘s upcoming Eastern Edge Food Hall.
The restaurant will open its third location inside the roughly 11,000-square-foot development at 290 Main St in Kendall Square, joining a growing roster of tenants that includes Clover Food Lab, Juicy Jay’s, Everybody Gotta Eat, and Việt Citron.
Founded in 2018 by James Choi and named for the perilla leaf (a staple in Korean cooking), Perillas specializes in approachable, convenient Korean cuisine. Centered around modernized bibimbap bowls, the menu highlights fresh, high-quality ingredients with a contemporary twist. Choi currently operates two Perillas locations in Brighton/Allston and at the Boston Logan International Airport.

“This location will help us continue our mission of making Korean food more accessible and convenient,” Choi told What Now Boston. “We are looking forward to sharing authentic, made-from-scratch Korean food with the Cambridge community.”
Situated on the “eastern edge” of the MIT campus, Eastern Edge is scheduled to open in early 2026 and will feature a curated mix of local food vendors, lively bar spaces, and flexible event areas.
