A new seafood venture is landing soon at East Boston‘s Logan Airport, and it’s helmed by a familiar face.

Roger Berkowitz, former president and CEO of Legal Sea Foods and current head of online seafood company Roger’s Fish Co., is planning to open a new restaurant called Roger’s Fish & Chips at Terminal A (Unit AS-2-A02). Berkowitz himself is expected to manage the location at the outset.

The 700-square-foot eatery will offer a fast-casual twist on the quality seafood Berkowitz is known for, but at more accessible prices. According to a Universal Hub report, diners will place their orders at the counter, then grab a seat in the food court. Alcoholic beverages will be served to tables in “distinct containers” to help staff monitor and prevent underage sharing.

At a recent licensing hearing, Berkowitz pointed to rising labor costs and supply-chain challenges as key motivators behind this lower-overhead model, which aims to deliver premium seafood without the added expense of full-table service. While the menu is still in development, one planned offering is double-clam chowder—a dish already available through Roger’s Fish Co.

Charley Wright, Vice President of Restaurant Operations at Roger’s Fish Co., declined to share further details with What Now Boston, noting that the project is still in the early stages of development. Stay tuned for updates.
