A couple of months back, it was reported that the beloved Blue Owl Rooftop Bar, situated atop Sonder 907 Main at 907 Main St in Cambridge, would be closing its doors for the winter of 2024. Owner Patrick Barrett promised that “big things” were on the horizon, and now those “big things” have come to light.

A new bar called Saigon Babylon will soon step into the former Blue Owl space, although specific details remain limited at this time. However, the forthcoming spot is owned by local restaurateurs Vinh Le and his wife Duong Huynh, who also own local establishments Cicada Coffee Bar and The Eaves in Somerville’s Union Square. Saigon Babylon’s Instagram bio reads “Collapsed temples at Cambridge rooftop.”

While the menu and cocktail offerings are currently unknown, the establishment will likely welcome patrons in the spring of 2024. Stay tuned for more information.
