A new spot for sushi is coming to downtown Natick.

Restaurateur Sa Nguyen, known for her popular Soall Viet Kitchen concepts, is teaming up with developer Stuart Rothman to launch San Sushi Bar, a 1,000-square-foot eatery located on the corner of West Central and South Main at The Block (One South Main Street).

Designed to be a cozy neighborhood spot that values quality over quantity, San Sushi Bar will offer a streamlined menu crafted with input from Nguyen’s family and friends, many of whom have experience in the sushi world.

The name “San” comes from “Sa” and the “N” from Nguyen, while also referencing the Japanese honorific that conveys respect, according to the Natick Report. With a menu of fresh rolls and sashimi, the restaurant aims to be a welcoming, “neighborhood-first” sushi spot.

The partners are also developing two additional restaurants at The Block: Nhậu, a community-focused Vietnamese restaurant, and an unnamed takeout concept specializing in Asian street eats. The latter will operate out of an adjacent space, ‘Unit 4,’ serving as a prep and storage area with a full kitchen and a pass-through window to San Sushi Bar.

All three eateries are slated to open by spring 2026, adding a dynamic mix of Asian flavors to Natick’s dining scene.
