A new Taco Bell is officially headed to Wareham.
The Mexican-inspired fast food chain is taking over the former BB’s Bar & Grille space at 2424 Cranberry Highway, where the existing building will be demolished to make way for a 2,094-square-foot restaurant. The new spot will seat up to 20 guests and include a drive-thru for quick burrito-and-baja-blast runs.
The project recently received the green light from the Wareham Planning Board following a proposal from Desert De Oro Foods (DDOF), the franchise group behind hundreds of Taco Bell locations nationwide.
“We’re… about to start taking down the existing structure and jump right into the site work,” Mark Raymond, DDOF’s Director of Development and Construction, told Wareham Week at the end of October.
The team is aiming for a late-2025 opening, though early 2026 is possible if New England weather slows construction. “We’re just really excited to be there,” Raymond said. “We’re really excited to bring tacos to Wareham.”
Founded in 1962, Taco Bell currently operates more than 8,500 locations worldwide, serving a well-loved menu of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and other Mexican-American eats.
