A fresh spot for bubble tea is brewing in Newton.

Teakaboo Tea House is planning to open at 709 Washington St, Unit A, according to a recent update shared in the Newton Real Estate Forum Facebook group. City filings further confirm the news.

While owner Yan Zhen did not respond to requests for comment from What Now Boston and the business does not yet appear to have an online presence, exterior signage reveals that the shop will serve boba and milk teas. Additionally, filings note that the cozy, 950-square-foot café will offer customizable drinks with toppings such as jellies and puddings.

An opening timeline has not been announced, though documents indicate that signage will be installed soon. Once it debuts, Teakaboo is expected to operate Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., offering takeout and indoor seating for up to six guests.

Stay tuned for updates as Teakaboo Tea House prepares to pour into Newton.
