A recently opened halal fusion eatery in Mattapan is already expanding.
The Halal Fusion will open its second location in the former site of Halal Grill Kabab & Fried Chicken at 624 Waverly St in Framingham, in the plaza that once housed a Walgreens at the corner of Waverly and Mellen Streets.
According to a Facebook update from Framingham UnFiltered, the restaurant recently filed for a Food Establishment Permit and a Plan Review, outlining full kitchen construction, warewashing equipment, staff accommodations, refuse handling, and grease storage.
Owner Dr. Arif Noor confirmed the expansion with What Now Boston, noting that the Framingham eatery will feature “new owners, new food, new taste.” He added that all meat will be Zabiha Halal-certified, verified by HMS (Halal Monitoring Services) and local mosques, ensuring it is prepared according to Islamic law.
The original Mattapan location opened just a couple of months ago and serves a menu of fusion favorites. At the Framingham eatery, guests can expect the same customizable rice bowls with crispy or grilled chicken, gyro, or a combination “Trio Mix,” alongside chicken wings, sliders, tenders, potato wedges, and fries. Signature house-made sauces—including the tangy Fusion Sauce and creamy Fusion White Sauce—are also available.
Slated to open in the coming weeks, the Framingham location will offer dine-in, take-out, and delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash. With convenient parking behind the building, locals can easily stop by to enjoy their favorite halal fusion bites.
