Boston barbecue restaurant group, The Smoke Shop BBQ is looking to expand its local presence with a new Woburn location at 2 Elm Street, Woburn, MA 01801.
The popular eatery is set to open in the spot of former Applebee’s that closed earlier this spring. The Woburn License Commision is currently reviewing an application filed by The Smoke Shop BBQ to obtain a common victualer license at the previously mentioned address.
The Smoke Shop BBQ was founded by award-winning chef, author and pitmaster Andy Husbands after spending a widely successful and acclaimed 20+ years on tour with his eats in the competitive BBQ circuit. Husbands’ curated menu for the restaurant include his famous wings, a burnt ends sandwich, a house-smoked turkey BLT, the popular Texas-style brisket plate and, of course, the option of ordering a full slab of baby back pork ribs.
Details regarding how Husbands and his team are going to approach the flow and design of the new location have yet to be announced. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
