A new Mexican restaurant is set to grace Somerville at 3 Washington St. Co-owned by best friends Abner Gonzalez and Paul Mongui, Tulum Mexican Cuisine is poised to welcome patrons in January 2024.

While Tulum promises a laid-back dining experience, the menu is anything but tame. Expect an extensive selection of authentic Mexican delights, including mouthwatering options like carne asada, pollo mole, birria tacos, and ceviche. To complement the cuisine, signature margaritas are also on the horizon, pending finalization of the restaurant’s liquor license.
