A couple of weeks ago, What Now Boston reported that a Turkish bakery was preparing to open in Allston. Now, more details have emerged.

According to a recent social media update from Turkish Lazuri Café, the eatery has launched a second location at 1 North Beacon St, just two doors down from its original 487 Cambridge St spot.

Though initially thought to be a bakery, it seems Lazuri’s new location will continue serving the café’s full menu alongside a selection of Turkish baked goods.

And the original Cambridge St location isn’t going anywhere. The café is currently closed for renovations but will reopen once the work is complete, according to an Instagram comment from the owners.

Turkish Lazuri Café is known for its 100% halal Turkish cuisine, offering bowls, breakfast plates, falafel, pita wraps, flatbreads, pizzas, and more. Its menu also features baked goods like baklava, sütlaç (rice pudding), and künefe (a sweet cheese pastry).

The Canca family—owners of the eatery—could not be reached for comment.
