A worldly popular Taiwanese tea house is headed to Back Bay’s upcoming Lyrik development at 400 Newbury St #300, joining a plethora of renowned establishments like Pink Carrot, Avra Estiatorio, and George Howell Coffee.

Targeting an early fall debut, franchisee Andy Liao told What Now Boston that patrons can expect only the highest quality teas at CHICHA San Chen, each variety sourced from Taiwan’s Lishan mountains.

“Our patented teaspresso machines ensure each cup is crafted to perfection,” said Liao. “We aim to create an upscale and sophisticated space, providing an inviting atmosphere for our guests to enjoy their tea.”

Since its 1998 Taiwanese inception, CHICHA San Chen has expanded globally, now boasting over 200 branches across several countries, including Canada, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Australia, and the United States. The tea house’s diverse menu features bubble, oolong, cassia black, and fruit teas.

CHICHA San Chen is slated for a September 2024 grand opening. Be sure to follow the tea house on Instagram for the latest updates.
