An artisanal ice cream chain is bringing its signature scoops to Burlington.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is opening a new creamery at 75 Middlesex Turnpike inside the Burlington Mall, according to Boston Real Estate Times. Situated on the first level next to Legal Sea Foods, the new shop will join other upcoming Dining Pavilion additions like Sergeant Burgers.

Celebrated for its creamy, high-quality ice cream, Van Leeuwen has been steadily growing in Boston and beyond. The company currently operates locations in Chestnut Hill, the Seaport District, and Cambridge’s Harvard Square, with more on the way to the Fenway, Back Bay, and Wellesley’s Linden Square.

Alongside its classic ice cream flavors like mint chip and vanilla bean, Van Leeuwen offers vegan and limited-edition options, plus ice cream bars and sandwiches. Since its launch in 2008, the New York-born brand has expanded to more than 70 locations across 13 states.

The Burlington Mall scoop shop is expected to debut in mid-summer 2025.
