Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant announced it will permanently close its Hudson location on March 29. The owners encouraged patrons to visit the Marlborough location and confirmed a new restaurant is in the works.

Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant to Close Hudson Location

Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant is a family-owned eatery, known for a variety of traditional Mexican foods. The owners shared that the restaurant at 158 Main St, Hudson, will shut down permanently.

The lease at the current Lalo’s location in Hudson has expired, and unfortunately, it was not renewed. Restaurant owners even tried to purchase the property, but the attempt was unsuccessful.

The post mentioned, “This is incredibly difficult for our family to share, because Hudson has meant so much to us over the years. What started as a small dream for our family turned into something truly special because of all of you.”

Lalo’s has built a loyal following across Central Massachusetts. From celebrating birthdays to countless milestones at the restaurant, the community created a strong connection with the team. Owners also thanked the community and staff for their love and support for Lalo’s. They mentioned, “Hudson will always hold a very special place in our story and in our family’s hearts.”

Diners at Lalo’s visit frequently for tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and quesadillas, among other Tex-Mex favorites. Its seafood offerings, à la carte options, and customizable kids’ menu at accessible prices helped establish Lalo’s as a local favorite.

The closure marks the end of the restaurant’s run in Hudson. The owners urged patrons to visit over the next few weeks to share more meals and memories. After the closure, diners can visit Lalo’s Marlborough location at 460 Lincoln St.

Owners of Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant are continuing to expand the concept to more locations. A few weeks ago, they confirmed the opening of a new restaurant in Southborough.

Lalo’s was first established in Marlborough in 2018 by the husband-wife duo Gerardo Guzman and Vanessa Ceja. The concept expanded to Hudson in 2021, with another location now in development.
