A Pacific Northwest-based sports bar known for celebrating women’s athletics is headed to Boston.

The Sports Bra, founded in Portland, Oregon, is expanding to four new cities: Boston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, and St. Louis, according to a press release (via Boston Restaurant Talk). A representative for the company told What Now Boston that an exact address for the Boston outpost has not yet been secured, and an opening timeline is yet to be determined.

While specifics are scarce for now, each new location will be locally owned and operated. The Boston franchise will be led by BOS IX, LLC, a collective of eight Boston-area residents united by their love for women’s sports. The group also founded Watch With Us Boston, a local organization that coordinates viewing parties and sports-centered community events.

“Members of BOS IX are involved in many strong community partnerships and we look forward to continuing to nurture these partnerships to help grow The Sports Bra Boston,” the group shared in a statement. “Our diverse team brings varied experience to this project including but not limited to hospitality management, human resources, law, military, education, local and collegiate coaching, mental health, recreation management, and more. We are a dynamic group that is invested in all aspects of the community and poised to weave our varied experiences into a successful women’s sports bar in Boston.”

Fans can expect the same menu as the original Portland pub, featuring scratch-made options for every dietary need—vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free included. Signature dishes like Mom’s Baby Back Ribs, Aunt Tina’s Vietna-Glaze Wings, and the Tempeh Reuben will be available, along with a full lineup of beer, cider, wine, cocktails, and mocktails.

“The first four franchises of The Sports Bra will join our OG Portland location to become the ‘Starting Five,’” said Jenny Nguyen, founder and CEO of The Sports Bra. “Together, we’re serving fans nationwide who are hungry for spaces that not only champion women’s sports, but create a community where everyone feels like they belong. There is no better moment than this to open these places.”

To help Boston’s first fully dedicated women’s sports bar get across the finish line, consider contributing to their GoFundMe, and stay tuned for updates as The Sports Bra gets ready to suit up in the city.
